You cant set up a Raspberry Pi without a way to power it. My only caveat is that I must be a able to use a standard distro, without editting any files. The Raspberry Pi Zero / Zero W and Zero 2 W have mini HDMI and therefore need mini HDMI. I will use my Raspberry Pi 3 B+ with Raspbian Buster (release in july 2019). This instruction will show you how to setup Raspberry Pi (any model) without using Monitor and Keyboard. I suspect that my best options are to use the TV temporarily, if I can get access to it, and longer term to buy a very cheap HDMI monitor, but does anyone have any other ideas? Raspberry Pi is a small single-board computer that runs Linux based operating system called Raspbian. My laptop, but they generally don't have video inĪ desktop, but its monitor only has VGA-in and DVD-inĪn XTP2046 display, but my previous question explains that I can't find a distro to support itĪn Amazon fire tablet & an Android tablet, plus an Amazon smart 'phone I possibly could use my HDMI input TV, but I don't think that my partner would be too pleased. As per my previous question, I am having great difficulty with a headless setup, so have decided to add a display.
